David Townsend’s Photo Album of Pentrich

Photograph’s were taken by David - in & around Pentrich, during a visit in 2004.

David has a particular interest in the area around the church, churchyard & old vicarage & this is due to his connections to the LEDWARD family; being the Great Nephew of Revd. William Jellicorse LEDWARD (former Vicar of St. Matthew’s Church from 1874 to 1912).

If anyone is able to supply older images of these areas (before 1930) then we would be very grateful to hear from you ... just e-mail the society with details.

Images kindly supplied by David Townsend who is the

Great Nephew of Rev. William Jellicorse Ledward.

The following two pictures show the land associated with the Old Vicarage ... this land proved to be of interest to David because it is mapped & listed as Glebe Land in the 1843 Tithe & Apportionment records
